Aaji-Care, a social entrepreneurship dedicated in home care segment since last 4 years has initiated this unique concept. Led by team of young professionals, the germ for AARAMBH came when one the long term home bound patients (whose only son in USA) served by Aaji-Care enquired for this possibility.

Study conducted across the globe clearly shows that staying alone at home with or without maids, make senior citizens feel lonely and cause boredom. The socially disconnection directly impacts their physical and emotional wellbeing. The urge to connect with fellow human being is the biggest psychological need that has high potential to impact them positively if addressed properly.

We plan to provide solution to these challenges through AARMBH and help them stay socially connected. This will enable them proactively track and improve their physical, emotional wellbeing.

This new Elder Day Centre, aptly named as AARMBH is starting the operations from 20^th September, near Powai Police station. This will be boom for all the people in and around Powai, Chandivali and Andheri East.

At AARAMBH, 11 hour’s day (8 am to 7 pm) a will be planned to take care the physical, emotional and social needs of its occupants through various activities and services.

The center will provide:

• v Yoga session
• v Games like cards, chess, carom
• v Learn Mobile / Computer
• v Group activities
• v Book/Story reading
• v Satsang / Bhajan
• v Gardening
• v Zumba dance

Special Medical related services will be also provided at AARAMBH:

• v Daily vital parameter check by trained and qualified Nurse
• v Facility for pathology test pick-up and drop
• v Monthly visit by Doctor / Physiotherapist
• Healthy breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks will be also provided to the members.

Note: Soon we plan to provide pick-up and drop service by bus from their home to centre and back.
